The people
Two grammars. Two people who spent their lives learning them.
Co-founder · CEO · Creative lead
Kasimir Lehto
He wanted stories that could look back at their audience.
Kasimir grew up in a filmmaking family and left home a pro snowboarder at seventeen, filming on 8mm the whole way. Three decades later the through-line is unchanged: understand how stories work, then build the systems that let them work at scale.
A decade as DP and director — features and hundreds of commercials across Europe. A stereoscopic-3D bet in 2006 that turned into supervising 3D for Hollywood studios: Fox, Sony, Universal. Perception research with the University of Helsinki, Waseda University, and Nokia Research Center — studying how presence actually works. XR for civilian astronaut training with NASA collaboration.
Then, in 2018, Reality Crisis: the place where all of it — story, perception, space, play — becomes one system.

Rodney Mullen
He wanted the world to be seen the way a skater sees it — full of ideas.
Rodney Mullen is the "Godfather of Street Skateboarding" — widely regarded as the most influential skateboarder in history. He invented the tricks street skating is built on: the flatground ollie, the kickflip, the heelflip, and dozens more — and through the 1980s he won nearly every freestyle contest he entered.
His influence runs well past the sport, because his deeper contribution was noticing what all of it was: a language — tricks as words, physics as grammar, style as voice. IBM Research operationalised that grammar inside Watson in 2018, in work he co-authored.
At Reality Crisis, that thinking anchors Skatrix and the company's deepest conviction: that embodied knowledge can become systems without losing its soul.
"The way we combine the movements imposes a kind of grammar — dictated by the physics of what's going on."
"The biggest obstacle to creativity is overcoming the barrier of disbelief."
— Rodney Mullen
The team
A senior core in Helsinki.
A small senior crew in Helsinki — people who've shipped games, trained models, built film pipelines, and skated the spots this company was founded on. Small enough that everyone touches the thing that ships.
Names will appear here as each person says yes — nobody goes on this page without being asked.
The advisors
People who've built at the scale we're heading toward.
- Bill Higgins — VP & Distinguished Engineer at IBM; decades of turning research into enterprise-grade AI platforms.
- Steve Francia — creator of Hugo and Cobra, two of the most used tools in open source; engineering leadership at Google Cloud, Docker, and MongoDB.
- Cyril Barrow — former group GM at Electronic Arts; two decades running game studios and live games at global scale.
The ethos
Invention over imitation. Craft over polish.
Skateboarding taught this company its working culture: invention over imitation, craft over polish, individual expression inside mutual encouragement.
"We all rise together."
